“a few moments” Community Cultural Hub Officially Opens

After six months of preparation and renovation, “a few moments Community Cultural Hub officially opened in May. More than 60 guests, neighbors, and friends joined us to celebrate the beginning of a shared journey—one that invites us to slow down, reconnect, and rediscover the beauty of everyday life.

Located in Kam Tin Market, “a few moments” is a community and cultural hub that brings together specialty coffee, vinyl music, sourdough baking, storytelling, and local culture. We hope it will become a place where young people and community members can step away from the fast pace of city life, reconnect with their senses, memories, and emotions, and explore beauty, goodness, and truth.

The opening day featured a variety of experiences, including local food tasting, a sourdough pizza workshop, a vinyl music listening session, and an immersive storytelling experience. Through food, music, stories, and meaningful conversations, participants were invited to slow down and engage more deeply with themselves, others, and the community around them.

For many young people who are struggling through difficult seasons of life, healing and growth can be a long journey. We believe that journey often begins with simple experiences—sharing a meal, listening to music, hearing a story, or finding a space where one feels welcomed and connected.

Looking ahead, we hope to continue building “a few moments” together with young people and community members, creating new opportunities for connection, belonging, and community renewal in Kam Tin.
